This test measures the levels of several electrolytes in the blood.  Electrolytes are minerals that help to maintain a healthy water balance, stabilize the body's pH level and move nutrients and wastes into and out of the cells. 

The Electrolyte Panel includes measurements for:

• Sodium (Na+)
• Potassium (K+)
• Chloride (Cl-)
• Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
