Immunity & Titer Testing

Your immune system is your body's tool set for combating outside invaders including bacteria, viruses, and toxins.  There are a number of warning signs that you're immune system may not be functioning as well as it should.

Also known as the MMR titer test, this blood test panel is used to confirm if you are immune against measles, mumps, and rubella, either due to previous infection or vaccination. This group of tests looks for specific IgG antibodies to these diseases, which your body produces after contracting the viruses or receiving the vaccines.

Tuberculosis (TB) is  a blood test used in identifying infections with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria that causes Tuberculosis (TB).QuantiFERON-TB Gold+ testing can be performed during a single visit and does not require a second interpretation visit, as with tuberculin skin testing. The results of QuantiFERON-TB Gold+ testing are objective, do not require training to interpret, and are not subject to variability in reading methods

The Varicella-Zoster virus (VZV) is a herpes virus that causes both chicken pox and shingles. This IgG blood titer test is used to determine whether or not an individual has been vaccinated against the Varicella-Zoster Virus or to determine if they have already had a past VZV infection.

Mumps-virus-antibody-IgG test is used to determine whether a person has antibody that protects glands, measles and mumps antibodies.

Measles is caused by a virus in the paramyxovirus family, and it is normally passed through direct contact and through the air.

This panel screens for the following:

• Measles
• Mumps
• Rubella
• Hepatitis B
• Varicella (chicken pox)

The Immunity Screening Panel combines several common titer immunity tests for additional savings.  These tests are often ordered when someone needs proof of their immune status to common infectious diseases for work or school.  It may also be ordered for pregnant women as part of their prenatal testing.
